StartupKid Mentors
The organization that recruits mentors had a bottleneck I could see from the inside. I built the recruitment platform that removed it, and it is in production.
The situation
I run learning at StartupKid, a Hebrew program that teaches kids and teens entrepreneurship, money, technology and AI. Recruiting mentors ran through several interviewers and several tracks, and the process leaked. Candidates waited between stages. Interviews repeated. Nobody had one place to see where each person stood. I could see the bottleneck because I was standing in it.
What I built
A multi-track recruitment platform for mentors. I wrote the need down in one sentence before I touched a tool, shipped a first version fast, and then let real recruiting reshape it. One candidate vanished between stages, and the next version made sure that could not happen quietly again. Interviews that turned out to be unnecessary were cut.
The build ran on Claude and Lovable. Who does what is explicit: I own the learning problem and the product decisions, the tools write the code. I am still adding to it.
The result
It is in production and recruiting mentors today. This is the thesis of this site in one project: the person who understood the learning problem built the tool.
